SCHG Presents in August
August 12, 13 and 14, 2017
With Daryl Lancaster
ABOUT: Daryl Lancaster received her BA cum laude degree in Fine Arts in 1977 from Montclair State College, Montclair, NJ and has been actively working since then as a weaver/fiber artist. Comfortable with the sewing machine for more than fifty years, she spent 10 years as a production craftswoman, selling her handwoven clothing in craft markets and galleries throughout the United States. She teaches garment construction and related topics to weavers and other fiber enthusiasts across North America.
Dust off your sewing machine and jumpstart your skills. This simple unlined jacket is custom fit, guaranteed to look great, feel good, and teach you the basics of garment construction. Great for handweavers, felters and surface designers, this jacket looks good in all fabrics and compliments every figure.
For more experienced sewers, consider adding a shawl collar! For those who have made a jacket with Daryl in another class, or are reasonably sure of their garment construction skills, the tunic is another option. A little trickier to sew, this is a fun silhouette especially from your handwoven fabric!
ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME
Those making the tunic should have intermediate garment skills.
