Bobbin lace is a relatively simple and age old method of making lace. It uses 2 different stitches in various combinations to produce many different patterns. The lace produced can be used for trimming or edging any fiber art project you create. While lace is usually made with fine threads, by enlarging the pattern you can use any heavier threads from other weaving projects, adding a unique custom finish!

Workshop participants will work on a sampler of 4 commonly used stitch combinations (shown at the bottom of the collage). These combinations are the main building blocks of bobbin lace patterns and will carry you a long way in your exploration of bobbin laces.

This is an absolute beginner class, no experience at anything is required. All materials are provided.

Maximum class size: 10
