Simply Stripes-Essential Patterns for Woven Cloth Stripes have been an integral part of textile design throughout human history. View woven samples and images
from Cameron’s own collection as well as from the Cooper Hewitt in New York, the Textile Museum in Washington
D.C, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Nuno, Lena Rahoult and many others. Examine design elements of
color, texture, weave and proportion in stripes, and see how these concepts can be explored in quick compositions
with yarns, pastels and colored paper. Discuss how these “sketches” could be translated into woven cloth. Talk from10:30-11:30 (no fee). Workshop 1PM-3PM. ($40 members, $50 Non Members) Contact: Judy Hersh, Susie Meach, Susan Goldberg, Debbie Thompson
