Join your fellow weavers for conversation, business, and show & tell, followed by a presentation from our own Virginia Postrel. She will talk about her new book The Fabric of Civilization: How Textiles Made the World. Weaving together history, archaeology, economics, science, and on-the-scene reporting, Virginia tells the story of textiles as the story of human ingenuity. She reveals how the desire for cloth shaped science, technology, business, politics, and everyday life.

This program is co-hosted by the Ventura County Handweavers & Spinners Guild.

Log-in information will be posted in the Members Zoom forum and sent to members via email. You can also email Virginia Postrel at vp at vpostrel.com.
