What is this?
Melanie is also the host of Making a Life: The Conversation, a new online series. She is the former publishing director of STC Craft/Melanie Falick Books, an imprint of Abrams, where she spearheaded books by many of the DIY world’s most esteemed authors, including Natalie Chanin, Kaffe Fassett, Lena Corwin, and Kristine Vejar. She is also the creative director and editor of Mason-Dixon Knitting Field Guides. Her goal is to inspire as many people as she can to recognize and participate in making by hand as a pathway to individual, community, and environmental wellness. She believes that as makers we can change the world for the better by sharing what we know about making by hand and making the ordinary extraordinary.
If you are not familiar with FEEDBACK FRIDAY, every week, we speak with dyers, artists, scientists and scholars about our favorite topic, natural dyeing and color. Curated by Amy DuFault, Botanical Colors’ Sustainability and Social Media Director and presented by Botanical Colors’ Founder Kathy Hattori.
